HIGH-VOLUME PRODUCTION
Designing for a high-volume workflow
At Frequence, I worked on multiple campaigns at once, often with overlapping deadlines and rounds of revisions. Some projects involved creating new ads from a brief, while others required updating existing creative or producing additional sizes.
The work required balancing speed with accuracy, especially when managing several clients and campaigns at different stages of production.
WORKING WITH BRAND SYSTEMS
Adapting creative across different brands
Each client came with its own branding, assets, and campaign requirements. Depending on the project, I worked from supplied artwork, brand guidelines, or existing ads to create new layouts and adapt campaigns across sizes.
That meant making decisions about cropping, typography, and composition while keeping the creative recognizable and consistent with the client's brand.
ANIMATION
Building motion within display constraints
For animated campaigns, I worked from existing creative and adapted animations across different display sizes. Each format required adjustments to timing, positioning, scale, and masking to keep the animation readable.
For Citizens Bank MN's "Ag Winter" campaign, I reworked an existing spring campaign for winter. I updated the copy and imagery, added snow, holiday decorations, and a day-to-night transition, and animated falling snow and lighting effects. I also adjusted the timing and repeated parts of the original animation to accommodate the additional copy before adapting the campaign across sizes.
MULTI-SIZE ADAPTATION & QA
Production, revisions & QA
A large part of my work involved adapting campaigns across display sizes and managing revisions. Each format needed individual adjustments to layout, typography, and imagery rather than simply resizing the original design.
I was also selected for Frequence's White Glove team, which handled higher-priority and more complex campaigns requiring extra attention to accuracy and detail. As part of my expanded responsibilities, I occasionally reviewed other designers' work for errors and consistency.
